Unmatched, fast and experienced customer support(literaly responding within seconds on chat). Flexible options with Managed VPS including active monitoring to resolve any server issues. Able to serve all my needs for extensive access to VPS like SSH, remote database access and more. Account managers follow up some days after signing up to make sure you are happy with the experience. Spanel solution is comparable to CPanel and on some points even better.
Price wise you are paying somewhat more to get the extra support and care. Selection of regions for hosting is possibly more limited than other VPS providers, but this is neglible unless you need ultra-low latency.
Offering great flexibility on hosting for web solutions including database, while still managing the hard/boring parts.
Hands down the best customer service I've ever experienced. Polite and courteous, professional but yet personal approach. Everything needed and way more available if/when needed for further scaling.
Nothing I can think of really. One thing I'd really like to see is not under their control though: Softaculous could do better in some ways/areas to offer wider selection of installation/setup scripts but that's out of Scalahostings hand I believe.
Simplifying the multiple steps usually required for every little thing needed to set up a basic hosting, website, databases, emails etc.
Tech support is very helpful and responds quickly
Some more complicated support issues take several back and forth messages before they're resolved
Needed scalable hosting as my business grows, being able to add cpu cores and memory on the fly is very helpful

The performance of the server under high traffic load was underwhelming.

I've been using ScalaHosting for a few years for hosting my domain, which is currently used only for email. Although we're on one of the cheapest of the available plans, outages have been rare and have always been speedily resolved with customer support easy to contact and very responsive. Initial set up was straightforward and explanations of how to connect to connect our hosting with our domain registration (not currently through ScalaHosting), were easy to find and implement. The "out of the box" webmail works better than I've seen with other providers, and I'm able to connect using standard IMAP tools without any issues. If funds allowed, I'd happily upgrade to a more fully featured package.
I have so few issues with Scala that I rarely have to interact with them. As a result, I'm prone to occasionally forgetting their name. I'd happily accept some ScalaHosting branding in my webmail, or direct links from there to my client area.
Email hosting on our own domain.
Best of all, you can always contact them in real time, rather than sending emails and waiting hours or days for a response. Also a big plus is that there is a panel that is free and helps to administer and configure the server, easily and quickly. Since I have been using their services we have not had an outage. We have contacted support several times and have received attention and assistance even in the wee hours of the night.
As something that is a drawback, perhaps, when requesting to add something new in the SPanel panel, it takes a long time. For example, PostgreSQL's automatic backup feature for databases I'm still waiting for.
We can count on our sites not to break, but even if there is such a critical moment, we can count on a quick response from support, this gives us peace of mind and security.
Hosting is done on SSD which makes it safer and faster response rate. The customer support is exceptional as it offers one-to-one human chat. Easy to use as a beginner and pocket-friendly. Good uptime and automatic daily backup make it a good option even for medium and big firms.
There are a limited number of features when it comes to site builder tools and dedicated hosting is missing. Only shared and VPS are available. Though chat support is amazing, phone support is not there yet.
Used ScalaHosting as the main host for my food delivery application. The uptime and low cost were major factors to consider Scala over its competitors.
Servers are performing very well compared to cheaper ones. Disk speeds are comparable to NVME. Customer case was helpful when I needed a custom ISO.
It is very expensive, although I know it is very good.
The servers were very powerful and CPU intensive activities were super fast. They dont seem to oversell.
