I have worked with QB Desktop Pro for the past eight years. It is easy to use. I had no prior experience or training and was able to learn and navigate the system within a few short weeks.

The only downside to using the desktop version is the ability to work remotely. Not all functions are available when logging in to the system remotely. The price difference is slightly more to justify going to cloud-based for us.

QB allows us to keep all of our company's financials in one place. It stores all of our companies customers and vendors and gives excellent reporting options for sales forecasting.

As an accountant, it makes working easier because using a manual system takes more time to post the necessary accounts but with QuickBooks Desktop Pro it's easier.

The cost of it is pricy but other than that I have no problem with it because I know how to use the software.

I use QuickBooks Desktop Pro to set up companies for clients as I am a freelance Accountant and it makes creating a company easy as after you create the company and create your chart of accounts and entry in the customers and vendors etc it's smooth sailing from there as QuickBooks automatically save changes whenever you post to an existing account.

QB Desktop Pro is easy to use. It is user intuitive and easy to correct any mistakes.

I really don't dislike anything about it. My company switched to Unanet GovCon because it is a more robust system for government cost accounting vs. the simplicity of QBs. However, QBs is great for most accounting needs.

Early on in the start-up of my small business, QBs was exactly what we needed. It enabled me, a non-accountant, to keep track of financials in a simplistic way.

I like that you can see all your outstanding invoices, print and mail statements to customers. All a description of the services provided is included.

I have no dislikes with this product. The product is efficient, and gives a full breakdown of each item and price. When a customer request another invoice it's that easy to attached it and email.

Allows you the ability to see what's due and days sales outstanding.

Quickbooks is known as the gold standard in accounting software. I love the flexibility and customizability, allowing you to make it fit your business needs. I prefer the desktop version to avoid the subscription fee.

Quickbooks has a steep learning curve. Find a competent accountant who can help you get it set up specifically for your needs. Once correctly set up, it is a breeze to enter the necessary data.

I use Quickbooks to track my income and expenditures from several small businesses. My accountant loves when I hand her all the necessary reports at the end of the year!

There is more function for accounting than there is on the online version. Also, I am in control of my data.

I would like to see better mobile syncing. Also, I see why but don't prefer that they are going to a subscription model. With the subscription model I can see that you would be getting full on support, but for some small businesses the increase in price would make or break them.

The benefit is that I know the accounting of what is going on in my business. The problem that it is solving is just learning how much is coming in and spent monthly.

It gives me reliability, and availability of all my transactions, i.e.deposits, debits, payments, etc.

I just wish it was a little more robust, to hold more data in case I expand.

I have weighed the cost versus the benefits, and I have been able to solve the problem of not having to be frustrated with Excel for my financials, receivables, etc.
