Task Overview - sorted by Due Date Milestones - with sub-tasks tied to them Ability to work with your team to assign tasks by user Project Portfolios - allows me to separate clients in clear silos for easier organization. Frequent updates - The Nifty team is pushing out constant updates since I've used it, with a clear roadmap.
No clear dislike for me. I see the team constantly pushing updates. For example, I had recurring tasks that were not setting a due date in the future - but that now has been updated & corrected.
Project & Task management that isn't bloated or convoluted. I've tried a ton of project management software - they are either extremely complicated and actually reduce your productivity, or extremely simple, and do not let you achieve the granular control you really want on a project. Nifty is a clear cut, middle of the road PM tool that clicked with me for my needs.
I used monday.com as my primary project management tool before and it was missing a lot of flexibility that Nifty has. I love the way its all laid out, the milestones, Google doc integration, time tracking per task, comments and discussions on each milestone, its all perfectly laid out for my work which is digital marketing and design so I work on everything from paid ad creation to video production. And this is flexible enough to handle it all.
I honestly can't think of anything I dislike. This is an excellent platform.
Time tracking, keeping everything in one place with Google Doc and the way milestones are laid out, and so much more. The two I just listed really changed the way I work. Because I have some jobs where I keep track of my time and some that I dont I love that I can just select the time start button if I want to but its not needed. Also how Google docs is integrated sometimes I have to write out longer copy for websites or something like that and this allows me to do it right within the project but share it so seamlessly.
Everything. It's the best UI/UX I've ever seen. Using the tool is super intuitive, and then you find there are even more powerful functions just underneath the surface. Makes it both approachable, easily adoptable, while at the same time being able to scale to meet the new challenges/complexities of your business as it grows. This is the absolute best tool you have never used. Yes it's the best project management tool, but in terms of app design, feature set, quality, interface, customer support and beyond, Nifty is also the best SAAS tool that exists in any niche.
There is literally nothing I dislike. I found one problem, where I was unable to paste content with bullet points into a Nifty Doc. I reported it, and they already had it as an upcoming fix for their next update. Less than 48 hours later it was fixed. Not only was it fixed, but their support team followed up with me to let me know. Just first class in every single way.
We are a software development startup that overlaps slightly with an existing successful business. It's been very difficult for us to coordinate projects and communication across the team, and as we bring on new team members, this was becoming more of an issue. Nifty has allowed us to organize our projects/tasks/communications, while providing an approachable interface for even new users. It's awesome. My days are literally better because of Nifty.
The tasks functionality and the Dashboard with visual/chart functionality
I would like to see the possibility to customize layout and actions more.
We use Nifty to keep track of our tasks, milestones and communications in one place/platform.
Friendly user ability. It was so easy to incorporate this into my sales team.
The only thing missing would be a CRM. IF this had a built-in CRM this would be the best swiss army knife out there.
Project Management. The ability to know where we are always holding is so helpful.
Beautify and intuitive UI with power features that matter to help stay on top of your projects, teams, resources, and ultimately deliver a great client experience.
Not much to dislike other than few integrations but they have communicated that they are working on core features first.
Project management, especially for complex projects involving a larger team and being able to communicate progress to the client easily. One of the main benefits is having multiple 'dashboard' views to see all projects and being able to switch views to see resourcing by team members - very useful.
It is simple to use to manage all our projects and general daily tasks. And after months of using it, we have not had to contact support once! We have not found any bugs, no things that were too confusing to use, nothing missing that we 'had to have'. We have loved it so far.
I read reviews all the time from people working with a new piece of software and report all the bugs that they find. So far, I have not run into a single bug. With that said, what's there to dislike? Nothing!
We have large website projects that have a lot of 'things' that we need to do in order to bring them to the public. Nifty is making it easy (we created a template based on our first project that we use for all the sites) to make sure that we don't miss a vital step in finishing the project.
Nifty provides a robust project management tool, but the best part of it all, is it simply works, but if it doesn't, the chat support is quick to address the issue and provide solution. I think those are what makes Nifty really a product to beat. You can put all the features, the bells and whistles, but if doesn't work or there's no support, it will simply be useless. I'm glad Nifty is both working and has great support.
It's not really something I dislike, but it's something I'm really looking forward to see added in its features list, and that is task templates. Having been a very long time user of Teamwork PM, I really missed that feature as most of my projects are repetitive and having a task template that you can quickly access and add is a huge time saver.
Client communication and getting organized with all the projects is what I tried to solve with Nifty. I just find that there are many times I lost track of email threads which hurts reliability and cause a lot of problems. With Nifty, I have a central communication tool where all the discussions are saved, files, documents are organized. It just gives you the credibility and gives an impression to the client that you are taking care of the project.
I love the way Nifty organizes my projects. It's the same way my brain works. I could have a company project that included 10 mini projects and I'd always have to create each one as it's own project. With nifty I create the master company and then inside that I can create as many individual projects as I need. Plus it has integrations and import ability and time tracking (when I remember) and I love it.
I wish the time tracking was easier to get to. I forget where it is.
I am solving the problem of my projects been scattered across Google Drive, One Drive and Drop Box. I keep (and edit) documents with the projects they belong to.
Nifty's interface and customization is a huge plus with how easy it is to just plug and play. The G Suite integration brings so much flexibility and functionality as it allows you to directly work on docs, sheets, or other G Suite products within the Nifty platform. This means that you can maintain all that information in a centralized location. It is very easy to create tasks and see multiple views as well as transition task assignees from different views.
Nifty can be slow at times to load. Also, I do not like the fact that comments or changes within a task are not automatically notified to task members. I understand it can be overwhelming to have notifications of every change but a custom option per task would be great. The mobile app works well but it is not as intuitive as the web based version of the platform. I also would like to see better filter use of projects, workloads, and calendars.
We have multiple remote team members handling multiple projects at once. Nifty allows extreme organization of all these projects and individual changes within them. It also allows for a high level view of workloads and aids team management.
