I like how simple it add hot spots. Also being able to share quickly is great.
Sometimes it's laggy once I replace thumbnails. ails and duplicates by accident
Quick for testing and showing team, for review sessions. For potential stakeholders it saves time than go to dev.
I like how craft plugin allows you to hook up Sketch to InVision. One click of a button and your artboards are in InVision. It's then super easy to link your artboards together to show the user flow of your designs.
I dislike how unless you have to design with specific devices in mind. E.g, make sure you create space for the iphone/android toolbar along the top.
Trying to demonstrate to my colleagues/bosses how certain components of a design would work when built out with code.
InVision is a great tool for those who are just beginning in the world of web and app design. You are able to easily and quickly begin mocking up your designs and help your audience understand the flow of your designs.
While it is a fairly quick tool to learn, it's hard to get answers the the questions you need quickly
We are able to show our designs to each other quickly and easily
Great for conducting realistic user tests, prototyping flows, and providing insight into ongoing features.
Sometimes unreliable – lots of downtime. Also, the enterprise plans available do not make sense for a small startup. Either everyone needs a personal plan, or you need to pay for more than you need.
It provides coworkers outside of the design team with insight into the process and progress.
How well connected it is with sketch. I have a plugin that exports my files directly to an art board. making it easy for me to keep my team updated with the latest design. Its Easy for them to give feed back through the product also. Myself and my product owner have found the free hand function really handy lately.. its quick easy to share
Prototyping flow is a pain. Change screens is clunky. Sometimes when you centre a design and click for this to be the default it either doesnt apply or its glitchy.. its can cause jumping
Prototyping, file sharing.
It's easy to use and offers a free trial.
There a lot of app functionalities that it does not offer.
Allows me to generate rapid prototypes to gain user feedback.
The simplicity of use and the high fidelity designs I can mock up quickly
Lack of responsive web features and advanced functionality
Quick prototyping and mock ups
I like using Invision to display my designs in browser to a client before development.
I can't think of what I dislike. I only have a basic knowledge of how to use it.
Invision helps clients feel like the designs are more engaging.
Using invision has helped immensely with showcasing my work to other teammates. After creating a project, it is the best way to show it in real time and a place to have all your work in one place.
I dislike that when you are trying to create a board, everything shuffles around and can get kind of confusing. I end up losing my place.
We are creating libraries in invison for teammates to go in and look at standards for design etc. It is great that we can also drop in working files for people to download
ease of use overall. The company provides great resources to learn about the program and how to use all their features
as of right now there's nothing that i really dislike about the program it has been a great help.
we prototyped our entire new interface on this and it also allowed us to share the design with people not directly involved with the project
Ease of use. Once the assets are saved then it's quick to use.
Inability to fit in current workflow. We use other products.
Helps do prototypes
I enjoy the simple functionality of the app. It's easy to work in without any prior experience. I can quickly create a tap-thru prototype within minutes and can easily make changes on the fly. I can even do it when I'm in meetings and show the iterations on the spot.
There is a missing element of polish. I can't do some things like make a container have a scrollable element. I can't an overlay animate in a certain way and be able to still keep the tapable hotspot functions around the overlay layer. It also doesn't have a very common feature that other prototyping apps have which is to make a flowchart with the prototype.
The way to sell an idea visually and quickly is invaluable. I can explain designs to producers and engineers alike very quickly through a few taps.
Ease of use. It's quick and simple interface allows me to have a prototype to show off in minutes. Really responsive customer service. Reasonable pricing and a willingness to customize to fit your business needs. Generally are always iterating and adding functionality to their product. Well designed.
Can be buggy at times. Had an issue with a prototype crashing at a specific set of screens. Would like to see more robust UI choreography...ability to animate specific elements, customizable transitions so I can better articulate my vision to developers. Having things like functional text boxes/keyboards, functional visualizations, or the ability to embed video files would give me more creativity to make my prototypes more robust and closer to a finished product than what is currently available. Transition animations for web projects are particularly limited.
The ability to show a product concept to shareholders without having to involve engineering. Giving a shareholder something they can drop onto their phones and interact with is key to delivering an engaging pitch. Also gives one a better understanding of the concept than showing static mock ups.
Invision gives me an ability to upload my designs and let other to view like completely developed app. also invision other people to collaborate as well. which mean i don't get confused what others are talking about. they can choose the section and comment their feedback directly. And other thing is the option of uploading the pictures in multiple formats from multiple sources. I usually put everything in google drive and sync it in invision. To keep track of every version of the files in google drive itself. so that i don't mess with invision structure which i've set it up. Another useful thing in integrations. I can live share my photoshop work in progress to anyone at anytime using live share ps plugin
There are few problem i face with invision, is not actually a problem. But kind of feeling it will be good if it's there. Number one is Editing / Creating Designs within the platform itself! even though invision makes my life simple by integrations with photoshop, slack and sketch! i'd still prefer to use one single platform which let me do everything at once.
we make mobile apps and web apps for various business problems, from e-commerce models and more of a specific problems like apps for education and apps for productivity and others. The benefits from using invision is as soon as i can complete my design i can put them in invision and link the pages and sections easily to show it to our clients or business partners and investors. its will be almost like fully developed product but just images. Invision gives me an option to show the people how exactly the app will look like.
I have found Invision to be incredibly easy to use and get started in. Ver small learning curve. I am able to build prototypes almost instantly. Great tool to run initial level usability tests. I like the part where I can easily share the prototypes with colleagues and also run it easily on mobile devices.
I wish I could actual create the design on InVision rather than uploading completed files. Sometimes that just works better as a designer.
We are problem solvers and usability tests help to iterate designs throughout the way. Invision helps us in Quick A/B testing
It's interagration with sketch 3 and the sharing and prototype generation feature is what makes me use Invision.
Web based, sometime you just want to right clic on an element to display some options. One main missing feature is also the fact that you can't display a sketchflow (a big map of your app with all your screen and lines with arrow to show the connections.)
sharing prototypes with clients and collect feadback, The app saves you a lot of time.
InVision allows designers to put their full comp on the web, in a functional manner. Wireframes work too!
Each comp state is a separate "page", and sometimes getting a clear visual of functionality (ie state changes, animations) is a little cluttered. Additionally, there are no builtin buttons for states, so the designers end up putting fake/hidden "buttons" somewhere that change the page state when you click them.
Design review. UX approval. Look & feel.
Very intuitive and user friendly, started using the software about 6 months ago and helps in efficiency and supporting the customer . The product support an documentation is great.
In the short time of use I have not found any issues with stability or problems, no issues with the product to date.
The software ensures that the team is aligned and can manage the customer deliverables.
InVision is a simple and versatile prototyping tool that allows teams to go from ideation to testing at any fidelity quickly and easily. Beyond prototyping, Freehand is a whiteboarding tool that allows guest access to collect info from users and stakeholders.
The prototyping functionality is slightly glitchy when building the links, so there's a need to triple-check whether all the links are correctly placed once the prototype is ready for testing.
InVision helps us conduct concept and usability testing to collect user feedback and ensure our designed solutions meet user needs. It has been integral in our implementation of our human-centered design process.
I like leaving comments right on the document
I don't like that it doesn't email me when new projects or comments are added but am not sure if that's just a notification setting issue that I need to figure out
