"I find Framer to be practical, incredibly fast, and extremely user-friendly! When comparing it to its competitors, I am convinced that Framer is exceptional, and the websites constructed using it go live remarkably quickly. Despite having experimented with alternatives like Webflow and WordPress, I am genuinely of the opinion that Framer distinguishes itself through its ease of use and rapid website creation, yielding beautifully designed components."
I like everything Framer delivers, I wouldn't have any comments to make! Some things I would add might be to handle SVG files better and insert the multicolor gradient.
In web design the biggest benefit is agility and simplification for my creations! As for prototyping, the Canva tool is sensational and I just think they could come back with plugins to get even better.
Some of the outstanding aspects of Framer: 1. User-Friendly: Particularly accessible if you're already familiar with Figma, making it intuitive to use. 2. Sleek UI: The interface boasts a clean and modern design. 3. Regular Substantial Updates: Framer consistently delivers substantial updates on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. 4. Effortless Animation and Distinctive Designs: Crafting animations and distinct designs is remarkably simple. 5. Pioneering the Future of Website Design: Framer appears to be at the forefront of shaping the future of website design.
I wish I could make my own categories so I can sort my projects based on categories.
A few to mention 1. I don't need to waste hours and hours on prototyping in Figma and then go into development, I just do it all in Framer 2. SEO & Speed are amazing 3. Extremely easy for clients to make changes on their own
Framer enables designers to create advanced web designs fast, and get them published in no time. It has a lot of sophisticated features in a very clean and intuitive UI. Easy to learn and powerful in its capabilities.
At the moment, the CMS has some limitations when it comes to using it for blog posts with multiple inline media in the post content. But at the pace of great quality updates that the company is making to the platform, this should become a non issue anytime soon.
I am moving my business website and all marketing pages from WordPress to Framer. The ability to quickly set new pages, design new layouts, keep consistency throught the website, publish changes quickly... is magnificent. Though the transition implies a lot of work in recreating pages previously in WP, the time that will be saved in the future and the ability to enhance and revamp the design is worth the effort.
Very similar to Figma in many ways, but you end up with a fully built website. Offers a lot of flexibility as well as built-in components to help you get started. Works great out of the box and there are hardly ever any bugs on different devices. Great for no-code starters that want to ship something fast without compromising on quality.
I'm confident more and more features will be released, to allow more complex login, user management, maybe even subscriptions at some point. You can still do it via third party platforms, but would be nice to have it all in one place. Right now the only "big" bug is related to importing templates and CMS items into new projects, which is where Framer kinda hits its limits, but again I think this will be solved... AI stuff is a joke for right now, don't count on it.
Speed of delivery. Easy to use interface, Easy to manage CMS. Full control over animation and every detail related to my projects. Pre-built components that you can just copy/paste in.
Framer is praised for its capabilities in creating interactive prototypes and animations. While it may have a learning curve, there is a supportive community available to provide assistance.
Compared to other website builders like Webflow and Bubble, Framer lacks a robust video documentation library.
For me the uses code as an escape hatch to extend capabilities to, for example, add small dynamic parts to a site
The ease with which we can iterate on design and content.
I think that framer is lacking in import and export features in the cms.
Interacting quickly on design and publishing landing pages quickly is an important problem we faced before framer.
How so unlike Wordpress it is. It actually intuitively makes sense
Some of the strangeness when it is obvious someone ported it over from Figma. It feels like the icons off to the side etc could be organized in a better manner
Framer gives me full purpose websites that are modern (react) based and look it. I swore I wouldn't put another client on a wordpress site and I'm sticking to it!
Framer has been the most interesting software program i've used in a very long time. As a SaaS founder I know how important it is to move quickly and ship stuff, and that's exactly what Framer enables you to do. It makes developing your website so easy that it's not uncommon to go from idea > publish to production in just a few hours. Besides that it just gives you so much power that you don't even need to be able to write code or understand how the code structure of a website works. You just need to design and ship it :) Furthermore the community and company is one of the most helpfull environments to be a part of.
I really couldn't tell anything bad about it. They might be young, but have a very sophisticated product allready and at the speed with which they develop this will only get better.
Development time is very expensive and will involve working together with multiple people. With Framer I can design and ship everything myself without the need to add developer time.
It's like Webflow and Figma got married and became unified. The level of detail that Framer Produces is impeccable. Its Figma to Framer Plugin effortlessly copies whole UI Screens from Figma in a split second and converts them into perfect replicas that are fully responsive in Framer with a level of accuracy that is mindblowing and unheard of. It's revolutionary!
Nothing, this is the best thing to ever happen to the design world.
For so long, i have always wished for a platform that would enable me to design web pages on an infinite canvas, just like on Figma, Framer gives me that, and it goes a step further by helping me instantly publish sharp and awesome prototypes and web pages
I've been designing websites for over a decade and have been working directly with developers to bring these websites to life. With Framer, I can now build and ship these sites all myself with no creative ceiling and at a faster speed than ever before.
Like any growing startup, there's a laundry list of optimizations and features that can be made that the other established companies already have. But every update that the Framer team puts out delivers value – they're not just rushing to scale the product into a mess that becomes harder to use with each release.
Framer is the solution that every other website builder has been trying to be over the past few years. It enables me to deliver sites at lightning speed, and deliver solutions that otherwise would take crazy time and budgets to build. I can build and componentize a website then facilitate a seamless handoff to a client to manage and scale their site on their own.
Framer makes it incredibly easy to build beautiful, highly performant sites for your business or yourself. If you can use Figma or Sketch, you can make a site with Framer.
I'd love to see even more support for design systems and saved styles.
My startup needed to launch a new marketing website in a short amount of time. Framer allowed us to design and build out a new site in a few days without needing to take up engineering bandwidth. It also allows anyone on the team to easily update the site without any knowledge of code. At the same time, Framer is flexible enough to allow us to write our own custom code where we need to.
I've been designing websites professionally for 20 years. Framer is the best tool ever made to do this job. Framer allowed me, the designer for Threads' brand/marketing, to create work that typically requires multiple people over several days. With the ability to create components, a fast and easy-to-use UI, and a surprising range of examples from the community, Framer is the best choice for what we need.
Since Framer supports real-time collaboration, it's easy for changes to happen across different viewport breakpoints. Sometimes, those changes cause the various layouts to be out of sync, so I would like to see just a little more friction -- such as the ability to lock edits on a layer -- to keep things in sync!
I design for the brand/marketing of Threads.com and Framer helps us build our public-facing website.
Framer is by far the best tool to create and maintain your company's website. Framer simplifies web development and lets your design team do everything in a single tool without the need for a developer. Before using Framer, our design team used to design new web pages in Figma. Our developers would then develop those pages, and the designer would test the new pages to see if everything was implemented according to the design. Framer eliminates all these steps. Our designers design new pages in Framer and publish them themselves. This turns the three-step process into a single step and completely removes developers from the process. This is a huge timesaver and efficiency boost. Our designers are in full control and our developers stay focussed on our SaaS products without being disturbed by our marketing department.
Framer turns your designs automatically into responsive web pages. This makes it a bit more challenging to quickly design a couple of iterations for new pages/elements. Individual elements are auto-aligned, which can be in the way of your creative process.
Framer help us design, develop, host and maintain our company website. It also allows our marketing department to write and manage our blog.
Incredibly quick to build and deploy a beautiful site. When speed is of the essence, Framer is the way to go.
Page management is really poor - no way to group pages. Some component wrap behaviors can get a little funky. Usually most things can be worked through, though.
Spinning up quick and beautiful pages.
Framer does everything we need as in-house product designers. Since switching to Framer as our primary design tool, we've eliminated three other tools from our workflow. Everything is done within Framer now. Design, Prototyping, Reviewing, Publishing to code, it does it all. I haven't had this much fun using a design tool in a long time. It's very powerful and allows us to design and publish websites without coding experience. Using Framer, I've begun designing with more of a developer mindset, allowing me to branch out and grow.
Its vector tool is not the best. We continue to use Adobe Illustrator or Sketch for any vector graphics that need to be created. Framer has some third-party integrations, but certainly not as robust as other apps. Hoping they continue to grow there.
Framer is an All-in-one design tool that has allowed us to simplify our workflow and reduce the number of apps we use to do our job. We use framer to Design, Prototype, Build, Host and Review websites.
Using Framer I am able to get from design to a live site in days instead of months. This saves so much time and gives me complete control over every aspect of the site. The learning curve is super short and if you are familiar with auto-layout in Figma, the transition over to Framer is a breeze. I really like how commited the developers are to the product, releasing new features an updates weekly.
It would be great to have more text style options, such as vw and rem sizing for those fluid text based layouts, but I'm confident that we'll see some updates to that in later versions. Having more User levels would be good, for example CMS editor, instead of having to give users full editor rights.
Framer allows me to design and build sites myself without having to rely on developers. Freeing up their time to focus more on our digital products instead of working on marketing websites.

React friendly environment. I really like the workflow in Framer
3rd party module support and lack of APIs
Designing websites, prototyping UI's, and get React components in Next.js
I contains more realistic animations, in prototype mode
Less collaborative and it has limited design community
It helps me rapidly prototype my designs with ease
For the prototype with smart and micro interactions and clicking tools. Also you can get code and look and fill like real mo ile app you can using. The mani advance is I like the powerfull animation mean transition, smooth and perfect.
As a uiux designer I like all features and functions so special framer team to they have made one of the best tool for us, so no comments here. They have design its like one other level tools for designer.
A special for UI, UX, prototype, Webcam feed, Animation, chat, and also for developer it's provide editable code, components, sharing, library and many more features are in the tool. Just love it.
