BlueJeans Virtual Events is an application that does its job very well. I like the interface, where I can easily navigate and use all the functions. In addition, all the devices I have used with BlueJeans have performed correctly. I like that I can do polls, schedule events, manage users participation, interact with participants, and more.
Sometimes, the conference has lagged, or you hear echoes. I don't know if it's the internet connection or a problem with the application. The performance, in general, is excellent, except for these moments.
We had much trouble adapting to remote work. Webinars and meetings were confusing for us. Now, we can work from various parts of the world. The most significant benefit is our proximity to communicate with our clients. They often can't express their ideas correctly in writing. And now, talking with them is accessible, using BlueJeans.
This platform is very fast and reliable for online business appointments, webinars and training sessions. It has a very good and attractive dashboard. I like the ability to screen sharing as well as live chat is very useful and also the feature of polling is so great for us.
Sometimes the sound is echo, also the software works very well when all the applications have been downloaded and without installing the application, and there is interference in the sound and video when using chrome or firefox without installing the app, which may be from the browser.
Training seminars, customer relations, scheduling appointments, and ease of voice and video calls in private or in group conferences all help us to handle things better. Powerful presentation of services without the need for the presence of the parties in a place with very high audio and video quality.
As an HR, it is essential to stay connected with people remotely, and Blue jeans serve to be associated with people online. It is a secure and reliable option compared to other online meeting platforms to conduct virtual meetings/training/discussions.
The only drawback I found here is crashing down during low bandwidth and insecure internet connectivity. It becomes difficult to connect with people sitting at a location where the internet connectivity is very low.
Blue jeans help in conducting virtual interviews, daily stand-up meetings, weekly status meetings, organizing online trainings. It is user-friendly software and very simple to use with good video and audio quality.
I like the convenience of working with conference tools as well as the very high speed and security on this platform with the highest quality video conferencing is delivered through an integration with existing technology, tools, and workflows. Data management is made easy with flexible deployment models to keep your company on top of the game with the highest degree of security.
Everything you need for an online conference and meeting is on this platform are all available , and perhaps improving the price plan can increase user satisfaction.
Certainly online meetings, conference calls, distance video tutorials have been made easier with this platform. We are always in the process of educating or supporting our users and customers, and BlueJeans Virtual Events platform is a great help in working and providing remote services.
I like it because it is currently good and it serves to share content, present and be able to connect in meetings and it has skills for what users connect and use the platform, it is excellent for virtual training of main unstructors and in general it has been beneficial.
This type of tool generally does not sync audio and voice because high-speed Internet is required.
Used for events, meetings, and to share with other users and be trained in a unique way, this product helped us to reach others easily.
It integrates well with other third party tools, so organizing and managing an event is smooth and seamless. The UI is user friendly Decent audio and video quality It scales pretty well and is better than many other solutions in the market
Since it is not widely used , a lot of times many attendees struggle with using the tool. It's a slow platform , becomes unresponsive during meetings and there is video or audio lag sometimes. It lacks a lot of customizable features present in other meeting platforms.
Blue jeans is used by our Marketing and Sales department for hosting customer meetings, webinars , workshops etc . The major reason for selecting Bluejeans was the pricing as compared to its competitors. It's not the best meeting solution but has decent features and functionalities for screen sharing , host controls , audience analytics , recording, scalability, survey, polls etc.
Creating a virtual event in Bluejeans is very easy, even for non-specialists. Our venue is simply a blue jeans event. Once you are the event owner, you can moderate the list and efficiently manage the participants. You could seamlessly add the participant limits and assign additional moderators. There is also n number of third-party integrations which can easily trigger an event and cause certain things to occur. It also takes care of sending the URLs to the participants automatically.
There are some disturbances when the participants reach a considerable number. But I have already reported a ticket for this issue. I believe it would be fixed very soon.
After the pandemic, events switched to virtual. Hosting town halls and important conferencing calls were prioritized, and we had to finalize a product for this scenario. Bluejeans application helped solve this problem with ease, and we were able to transition to this product quickly. We achieved excellent results with this product.
I like that it is easy to designate moderators and presenters, who are the only people who will be seen in the event. You are able to send separate registration and invitation links to moderators, presenters, and attendees to keep things separate. By separating moderators and presenters (you choose which of these can be seen or unseen by attendees during the event) and attendees (unseen by one another during the event), you are able to minimize the risk of interruption or the imposition of inappropriate content. For added protection in this regard, you can also select whether the chat function is available to attendees. Additionally, you can make it possible for an attendee to raise his or her hand in order to request to be made into a presenter mid-event, allowing you to expand the conversation if necessary. Before an event begins, all moderators and presenters are able to converse with one another in a sort of staging area, which makes it very easy to explain features and make sure everyone is on the same page immediately prior to the event. Once everything is set, you simply click a button to make the discussion go live. After the event is finished, the moderators and presenters are returned to the staging area (great for sharing impressions). If you choose to have the event recorded, the recording is accessible on your BlueJeans account page right away. And attendee info is emailed to you automatically soon after the event finishes.
I wish it were possible to send a clickable link to event attendees, even when the chat function is turned off. You can send messages through announcements, but links there are not clickable.
The threat of having events interrupted is real and I needed a way to control the book talks I run. BlueJeans allows me to designate presenters and filter questions before they go public.
Functionality. I do not experience issues that are common to other video conferencing tools.
Would be great for the platform to be able to handle large conferences (100+) with zero loss in video integrity
I essentially offer client services and information sessions in person in a typical work year. I do almost all this work virtually with video conferencing technology now
The sound quality and stability even with events with lot's of people. Integration with other tools like slack and google calendar that make alerts very easy so it's very hard to miss a meeting. The events work really well. The quality of sound is very good. It supports lot's of people at the same time. It has been a great tool to keep communication flowing while pandemic happens. With this tool that we already used a lot we were able to move from the office to home with no disruption at all from one day to the other.
it could have a way to share questions and get people to speak when the moderator gives permission. I would like to see more than 9 people like Zoom allows to. I would like to be be able to split rooms in several so we can easily support workshops and still be able to keep chat between the different rooms.
Bluejeans helps a lot of communication in big corporations. It's easy and simple to have big distributed teams having live broadcast events. It cuts travelling costs and makes communication easy and clear to everyone. It cuts travelling costs and makes communication easy and clear to everyone. In this pandemic environment is even more important to a have a tool like this that is easy to use and always available.
It's very easy to learn and use Bluejeans. prior to using Bluejeans my only experience with video calls were through Skype and Facetime. I find the interface for Bluejeans to be much more user friendly than skype.
BlueJeans PrimeTime events are not interactive or collaborative, and during these remote times it would be really great if we could make it more interactive. one of the groups i work in recently merged with another group, and now our meetings have over 200 folks so we need to use Primetime. everyone was used to the interactiveness of a regular Bluejeans call, so it was a bit of a disappointing shift.
it's very easy to round up the entire company for an all hands event. it's very seamless, user friendly, and quick to learn.
Since the pandemic, we've shifted our model to engage with stakeholders virtually and have been leveraging the primetime / BlueJeans events platform to host both small group private sessions and full public webinars. The interface is really easy to use and allows videos to be played easily within it. We've been really impressed with the quality of experience in terms of how our events team leverages this on the back-end and the ease of taking questions and providing an interactive experience for attendees.
One element we have not yet investigated fully is how to leverage virtual backgrounds for the event itself - as obviously many presenters are joining sessions from home. Integrating more specific audio capabilities to filter out dogs, kids etc might be helpful.
Major events support - and small group sessions. It's allowed us to continue to have an engagement model even though we have not been able to hold media and analyst roundtable sessions at in person events for example.
Light weight and rich in user experience. Navigation is faster. Can be easily approached in terms of required options.
Recordings need to have extra installation in local machine.
Conferences
It has all the necessary features - polls, Q&A, moderator/everyone chat and ability to neatly see both the presenter and content - required to effectively manage meetings/events/workshops with large audiences from across the globe.
Inability to use the desktop app for events, even though the phone app can be used to join events.
Ability to attend Global meetings/workshops/events.
Is easy for attendes to join event, they can join using their web browser or using their mobile through the BlueJeans Events app. I don´t have to worry about attendes using their microphone or turning on their cameras as presenter and moderators have their own joinning link. One feature I love the most is that I can have simultaneous events and I can broadcast the events to Facebook Live or a website.
Our license is 200 seats and they charge $5 for each seat you go above the 200, there´s no limit for how many attendes can join during the event. You can enable registration to have a control of the number of attendes. You can share videos that have been previouly preloaded but you cannot share videos directly from your computer, I would like to have both options.
We have had a large request of webinars during the pandemic and having BlueJeans Events, have let us to run multiple webinars at the same time. We have been able to expand our attendes capacity to 200 attendes and also been able to reach a large audience through Facebook Live. When you have BlueJeans Events you don´t need to have a connector for your H.323 onsite equipment, this has let us keep using our current legacy H.323 videoconferencing equipment.
It has great connectivity and ease of use with all the integrations and actually cares about security. We've used half a dozen platforms to communicate with our offices overseas where bandwidth is much lower and Bluejeans by far has the most reliable connectivity. From an administrative perspective its super easy to set up new users or automate the process, it also has great analytics to track usage by person/department etc.
The events had a bit of a learning curve to set up and host a large scale event with multiple presenters. Bluejeans is not as mainstream as some of the others (zoom, gotomeeting) so a lot of external participants complain about having to download "another meeting app" however, there are settings to help with this and default attendees to browser which I highly recommend. They also recently switched to a reseller type model which I don't care for and much prefer doing business directly with Bluejeans.
Company all-hands meetings and customer facing product webinars/training, the greatest benefits of BlueJeans is the one click scheduling with all the calendar and communication integrations as well as the ability to highlight parts of the meeting as its taking place with notes etc. We also pair this with the bluejeans rooms at each of our locations which has turned our conference rooms into a super conducive way to connect with teams anywhere in the world.
It's very easy to connect to meetings and schedule through Outlook. I haven't experienced any connection issues. I really like the ease of using the outlook connector. I like how easy it is to join via mobile or computer. Other platforms I have used have spotty connection on mobile, but Bluejeans does not. If you lose connection to the meeting, it's incredibly easy and fast to rejoin. This doesn't happen often with other platforms that I've used. Sometimes if you lose connection you can't figure out how to get back into the meeting, or it takes so long that you miss a lot of time. The audio connects instantly. I have used other platforms where users can't figure out how to dial in, or there are audio issues. As soon as I login to your platform, the audio connects and it's strong signal. I really like that it's so fast and easy to connect. The buttons are intuitive and you can use the platform without training.
There isn't much that I dislike. I've been very happy with the platform.
Video conferencing and screenshare with multiple participants; collaboration with other departments across the company. Record important meetings. Host webinars and training.
The look and feel of BlueJeans Events is amazing. It's intuitive, and that's something our customers definitely need. It's quick to launch and not cumbersome. that is so great I like it so much I love that the audio and video are combined. Previously, we had a separate phone number for our WebEx audio. It's very nice that people can now use their computer audio to listen to the presentation. I also like that the audio can be muted for all attendees, but wish we could unmute them as well (see below).
We have several moderators on our team and it's frustrating that, if one person creates an event, no one else can access the reports, recordings, or see one list of future courses. It will be helpful if we could unmute attendees if they have questions. Yes, they can type questions into the Q&A section, but it's easier to unmute everyone and let them clarify what they're asking verbally.
that is so great I like it so much We have several Instructor-Led Trainings every week to help our customers use our software. Our customers sometimes have limited technical knowledge, and BlueJeans' great UI has helped mitigate a lot of issues we used to see with WebEx, such as people not being able to log in, or having issues with the audio.
How easy it is to set up an event and how little time it takes.
It was a little confusing in the beginning on the difference between scheduling an event and scheduling a meeting, as well as the different roles of the moderator and presenter. It would have been nice to been provided a 'white sheet' on how to and the differences. I understand the need for the role of the moderator, however, it would be nice if this was an optional role for an event. I also wish you could edit the event/meeting title after it has been created. This has caused a few issues in the past as meeting/training event titles have been altered. I have also ran into issues trying to upload a video to play during an event so more information on how to do that would be appreciated.
We have been able to seamlessly conduct meetings with participants here at our headquarters and in our field locations states away. This has been very beneficial to our organization.
The number of people that can join in the events. We need to accommodate at least 5000 people and Blue Jeans can fulfill that. It is also easy to moderate from my desk or at the actual meeting.
Video Quality. We can never seem to get the full video quality in our broadcasts. It has become frustrating that our broadcasts are only getting somewhere between 360P and 480p video quality.
Town Hall broadcasts to the entire company, many of which are remote. We average around 4000 individual users. Its amazing that we can broadcast easily to that many people.
