Basecamp has provisions allowing clients to see content like a message board post. Collaborating with my teammates and colleagues is much easier and more convenient.

It lacks a powerful templating system that is usually useful for team projects and presentations in our company. It has a minimum rooms for editing of our shared documents.

It helps our project to run successfully and to have a dependable communication structure in our team; we can quickly check data and updates using Basecamp. It makes our communication more efficient and more accessible even when working from home.

Project management is a lot more effective now that I use Basecamp for business. The entire team is kept up to date on given tasks, due dates, and relevant developments in real time. Additionally, Basecamp provides a number of file organisation and sharing capabilities, which greatly facilitates teamwork.

The inability to add subtasks to the primary task is one of Basecamp's shortcomings in my opinion. When planning more complicated jobs, this can be a little difficult. The platform can occasionally be a little slow when loading a lot of files, but overall there wasn't much of an issue.

My team has found Basecamp to be a really effective tool for problem-solving. For instance, with the aid of Basecamp's communication and task management capabilities, we were able to spot design flaws in early-stage items right away and make the necessary corrections. Additionally, the feedback function allowed me to rapidly address any queries or problems that cropped up as the project was being developed.

While Basecamp is very good, it does have a slight learning curve and getting people onboarded with it can be tough. The chat, while nice, is something we don't use due to some functionality missing.

For us, Basecamp rolls multiple apps into one and keeps everything in one place. Not having to switch between multiple apps is a very big perk. It also helps keep everyone in the loop about what is going on with a project.

Basecamp is extremely user-friendly. It has all the features you will need to complete any project management task. It also has a chat feature built-in, so you do not have to use an external program such as slack.

I wish they would not have so many features that are only available on premium subscriptions. The features that you are really going to want to use are premium features.

Initially, I used it while taking a PM class and decided to continue because of the chat features. It is the most user-friendly one out of all the PM software.

Basecamp is a perfect project management tool for cross-functional collaboration, especially with developers, engineers, and project managers. Easy to access, create tasks, and monitor stages of studies.

The user interface feels very basic and is not as innovative as maybe an Asana or a Monday.com. If they can improve the user interface that would alleviate a lot of troubleshooting and enhance user experience.

Limited integrations: Basecamp does not integrate with as many third-party apps and services as some other project management tools, which may be a disadvantage for some users who rely on certain integrations to streamline their workflow

Basecamp helped me with organization, improve communication, and work more efficiently, resulting in a better workflow and increased productivity.

Basecamp is a powerful and feature reach project management and project collaboration tool with features like Card Table Kanban, Message Board and Automatic check ins. Also, its very easy to manage multipe projects at single place.

Although, basecamp is a project management tool with all the necessary features but there is one thing that can be improved.The option to create User stories is not at all good. Its a basic To-Do and its difficult to quickly create the user stories in the print planning meeting.

We are using Basecamp to solve the problem of project management and task management at our organisation. We can very easily management multiple stakeholders and products very easily.

The first thing I would like to note is that it is a very effective solution for project management; it has a wide range of features and tools that help our work teams stay organized and in sync, from task and calendar management to real-time communication and collaboration. One thing I liked about Basecamp is its intuitive and easy-to-use interface; it is straightforward to navigate the platform and get what I need at any time; and the aspect I liked the most is the real-time collaboration; it makes it possible for us to discuss and comment in real-time on any project or task, which saves us a lot of time and dramatically reduces the possibility of misunderstandings.

While it is true that Basecamp allows some customization, it is still limited and may not be sufficient for the specific needs of some users or work teams; the task management features are also a bit limited compared to other solutions, is project management.

Overall, we have had a positive experience with Basecamp, and it has provided multiple benefits to my organization; starting with the way teams stay organized and in total sync; being so intuitive, it makes all users quickly adapt to using the software, and the calendar view customization option has been helpful to keep an overview of deadlines and commitments for the whole team; in addition to its wide range of collaborative tools, it also allows file and document sharing, which further facilitates team collaboration and idea sharing.

It is easy to navigate in different projects and tasks and the best things is that it also sends notification everytime a new task is assigned.

Looks like a bit old fashioned interface

While using basecamp, it is very easy to manage hundreds of tasks and projects as a time and everything looks easy while using BC for my work

I love that the tasks keep me on track. I also love that I can make my own tasks if I end up getting one off requests from client to help keep me on top of items.

The only thing I don't like about basecamp is that I cannot prioritize my task list each day. They are just stuck in whatever order the system puts them in. I have used Asana in the past with an old job and that was something I LOVED about Asana. I was able to move the tasks around each day so I knew what I want to complete first.

Basecamp is solving a task management problem. As long as there is a task the work will get done no matter what. I like that it keeps all of us on track and we can communicate back n forth with questions or ideas.

Basecamp is connected to your team in Company. We use basecamp for making connections with each other and also use it for the hangout option. The notification feature is also very good in basecamp. Which help you to connect with additional immediately. It also has a PING option where you can also chat with every employer personally

Basecamp has too many options for making the team connected, so till now I have not found any issues now, it is highly recommended for team communication, and I can say basecamp need to be up to date for the competition

We face mainly notification issues, and calculated leave for the team is challenging in others, so that problem is genuinely solved here. Also, know leave tracking, which makes the group know about everyone

I like that Basecamp allows you to make it your own. With projects, boards, to-dos, and more, the possibilities are endless.

They're slow to catch on to what other companies do. They're innovative in their own way on their own timing, and that can sometimes make it feel out-of-date.

It helps me project manage my entire business. From building timelines to keeping track of project sprints, it has everything we need to keep everyone on track.

Extremely user-friendly. We have been using Basecamp for almost 15 years. During that time we tried similar programs and always came back to Basecamp. The others didn't measure up. One thing that we love is that there is no storage limit so we are able to upload large files regularly without worrying about space. We like that we can add clients to the project but they cannot see others. There are just so many ways to use this to meet anybody's needs and the cost is very affordable.

Basecamp used to have a place to store files in a way that was easy to find. They eliminated that feature when moving to BC3. We have finally gotten used to it but liked that our entire team could access files all in one place rather than using a separate program for it. When files were uploaded to a milestone, they were automatically added to the file tab which we loved and would love to see make a comeback ;)

Project management and being able to streamline projects when more than one person is involved. It helps with communication between team members and sometimes clients.

The ability to add and segregate clients from the team is the best feature and comes in handy for effective communication.

One thing that only the person who has added a To-do should be able to change its deadline or edit its details.

Managing a team of 100+ employees, including in-office and remote workers and ensuring the deadlines are met on time.

Ability to stay on top of many projects & many clients in a single place. Ability to invite clients to collaborate without escalating costs. Ability to create multiple lists, and tools to keep work streamlined. Ability to keep people accountable by assigning To-Do's, and keep people in the loop by designating those informed when items are completed. I have introduced several clients to Basecamp (by ways of using the platform with them) and they started using the product internally in their own organizations.

Simple no-nonsense tool which is easy to learn and use

The is nothing to dislike about it but sometimes it can feel oversimplified

I am always working on multiple projects with multiple teams spread across the country. Basecamp is my war room where I stay updated on all the project and easily provide my inputs to all my teams. It is the main communication portal used in our organisation.

It's hard to narrow the benefits of Basecamp to "one thing I like best." The two greatest features are a) team collaboration capabilities and b) transparency internally and externally (client-facing).

I don't feel there are any downsides. There are some nuances I would change, but in the big scheme of things, nothing critical, and many of the things we would like to have adjusted are over time.

The largest problem or challenge that Basecamp helps us solve is the very high number of clients that our small and nimble team manages at any given time. Without Basecamp, we would be lost.

That you can not share links to folders, it has to be to individual documents

The best part about Basecamp is the ease of use. It takes me no time at all to onboard internal staff or clients on how to use the tool. It also keeps all the projects so organized in an easy to access way.

I would say my only downside to basecamp is that I wish there was a built-in time-tracking tool for our team to use. We instead have an outside time-tracking tool that integrates with Basecamp but it still would be easier to have this as a function of Basecamp.

Basecamp has solved keep our team and clients on task through the ease of building out tasks and timelines. It helps keep our communications streamlined.
